Adfam is a charity organisation which is helping families that are badly affected by drugs and liquor. We strive to give anyone affected by a family member's addiction the opportunity to get the benefit from supportive and healthy relationships, feel involved within a loving family and maintain a healthy mental as well as physical wellbeing.
Alcohol and drug abuse can endanger and eventually ruin family relations and harmony.
To prevent this from happening, we encourage family members and caretakers, reassure frontline workers and impact those that make decisions.
We listen to frontline workers and families We understand that people who are facing difficulties often have answers. So, we use compassion and evidence to inform, encourage and empower persons influenced by a loved one's substance abuse as well as the workers who help them. So that both groups can help themselves, their peers, communities and clients, we build skills, confidence, pathways and resources.
The influence of both drug and alcohol abuse on family harmony is intense and diverse. We put lots of care and focus on our work as we tend to use most effective methods for the real world. Our work is driven by our companions, supporters and associates and what they actually told us. In order to achieve this we take evidences in all aspects, appreciate the genuine experiences and formal research proves.
We take our work as well as our partnerships very seriously and are dedicated to delivering results of the greatest quality. We are treating people and families influenced by substance abuse with dignity and respect, as we don't agree with the public opinion including stigma and prejudice, as those only cause pain and obstacles on the path of recovery. We desire a stigma-free society towards substance abusers and their close ones, and we won't stop until we accomplish this.
